Meet our Staff
Matthew T. Hale, Founder
Matthew T. Hale was born in Kokomo, IN in 1970. In 1993, Mr. Hale graduated from the University of Chicago, one of the top schools in the nation, with a degree in political science. In 1997, he graduated from the Indiana University School of Law, one of the nation's top 40 law schools. After law school, Mr. Hale went to work for a large firm in downtown Chicago. However, after working in Chicago for a while, he decided to get out of the big city and move to the west coast.
Matthew Hale became a member of the Washington State Bar Association in 1998. Since that time, he has dedicated his career to defending people who are accused of committing crimes. Mr. Hale has successfully defended thousands of cases in over 100 different courts in Washington State. He has handled cases involving virtually every type of crime, from DUI to homicide. He is a member of the American Bar Association, Washington State Bar Association, King County Bar Association, Washington State Trial Lawyers Association, and the Washington Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers.
In his spare time, Mr. Hale enjoys climbing mountains, boating, fly fishing, and baseball. Although he is a big supporter of the Seattle Mariners, his first love is the Chicago Cubs.
Neal Kingsley, Associate
Neal Kingsley received his undergraduate degree in English from the University of Washington. He graduated cum laude from the Seattle University School of Law and is exclusively practicing criminal defense. Neal has additional legal experience working with non-profit organizations and in predatory lending litigation. When not at work, Neal enjoys various outdoor activities such as hiking and rock climbing, reading, attending concerts, cooking and is an avid fan of the Seattle Sounders and Aston Villa FC.
Mr. Kingsley is an active member of the Washington State Bar Association.
Denis Globa, Legal Assistant
Denis Globa was born in Kiev, Ukraine in 1986 and came to live in the United States when he was 12. He graduated from Central Washington University in 2009 with an undergraduate degree in Business Administration. While in college, Denis worked as a real estate agent for three years, and after graduation he worked as an account manager for a prominent electrical engineering consulting firm. His long-term goal is to become a successful attorney in business law. In his free time, Denis enjoys snowboarding, plays guitar in a local band, and is a very big fan of basketball.
Denis is fluent in three languages - Russian, Ukrainian, and English.
Jessica Block, Legal Assistant
Jessica is currently a student at Bellevue Community College. She brings to the firm legal research skills and is experienced in handling court cases and dockets. She is a big fan of country music and enjoys listening to Keith Urban, Carrie Underwood, and Rascall Flatts.
Anita C. Hale, Of Counsel
Ms. Hale graduated from Grinnell University in 1994 with a degree in history. In 1997, she graduated from the Marquette University School of Law. Ms. Hale became a member of the Washington State Bar Association in 2000. She is a member of the American Bar Association, Washington State Bar Association, King County Bar Association, and the Pierce County Minority Bar Association. She has extensive experience in handling domestic violence cases.
